The Automatic start-stop feature allows you to start and stop a trip without pressing a single button. You can start and stop a trip simply by entering and exiting your car. 
 
The iBeacon sends out a bluetooth signal which the phone registers. When the phone registers the signal, the Mileage Book app is prompted to start the trip.
 
The app will stop registering your trip, when you are approximately 3+ meters away from the iBeacon and you will have to stay away from the iBeacon for about 3-4 minutes, before the app stops the trip. 
 

Automatic registration
You can automatically register your trips by using an iBeacon which is a small bluetooth chip. The iBeacon starts and stops without you having to touch your phone.
(It is only the iBeacon which is made by Mileage Book, that works with the Mileage Book app)
 
Simply connect the app with the iBeacon and place your iBeacon visibly in your car. Now you're ready to register your trips completely automatically and without ever having to worry about forgetting to start your trips again.
 
The feature registers the start address, the destination and the driven distance, without you even noticing.
 
Finally, you will have to approve your trips before sending them to your administrator. This is done in the Mileage Book app, in the Unprocessed tab or on our website.
 
Here you will be asked to add a purpose to the trip and swipe the trip to the right to approve or to the left to delete private trips.

Work schedule
In addition, we have chosen to implement a work schedule which allows you to decide when the automatic start-stop feature should register your trips. (only if your enable work schedule)
 
When the schedule is enabled the automatic start-stop feature only registers trips within the time chosen period of time.
 
An example of a schedule could look like this:

Monday 08:00 - 16:00
Tuesday 08:00 - 16:00
Wednesday 08:00 - 16:00
Thursday 08:00 - 16:00
Friday 08:00 - 16:00

 


With this setup, your trips will only be registered every weekday between 08:00 - 16:00.

Additional Features 
In addition to the automatic registration and work schedule, you will also have all of the PRO features available.
 
Approval of trips
To approve your automatic registered trips, select the "Unprocessed" tab at the bottom of the app. Here you just add a purpose to the trip and then just swipe the trip to the right to approve or to the left to delete it.

NOTE: It is important to keep your Mileage log up to date, and finish processing your automatic registered trips regularly, thus ensuring that all information is correct.
