The average batterylenght of our iBeacons are around two years (depending on how frequently you use it). If it's time to replace the battery in your iBeacon, then here is a guide on how to do this.
Simply follow the instructions below.
(If you are using the older model, the guide can be found below)
1. Use a flat screwdriver to remove the cover from the back of the casing. Insert the screwdriver in the side where there is only one marking. |

2. Carefully remove the battery and the chip. |

3. Once you have these removed you can change the battery.
NB! The battery used is a double CR2477 |

4. Be sure to check that the battery is facing the right way. The dotted side needs to be facing upwards. (If it is faced the wrong way, this can discharge the battery in 30 minutes!)

Your iBeacon is now ready to register you driving for another two years. |

Older model:
1. Remove the white sticker on the backside of your iBeacon. |

2. Now you can pull the core out of the rubber casing. |
|
3. After removing the iBeacon, the battery now i visible for replacing. NOTE:The battery used is CR2477 |

4. At last, simply insert the iBeacon into the rubber casing again. |
