There are three different ways to register a trips within Mileage Book.
1. Automatic start-stop registration: (Only possible with PRO+ subscription or an automatic start-stop license available for our Business/Enterprise solution)
The automatic registration of trips means that the Mileage Book app starts and stops your trips by itself while your phone simply remains in your pocket.
Depending on which phone you use, your trips are started-stopped by either an iBeacon or the car's bluetooth connection.
iOS (iPhone) = iBeacon
Android (Samsung, Huawei, HTC etc.) = The car's Bluetooth connection
Mileage Book takes care of the rest, and puts addresses in the FROM and TO boxes, and notes the START and STOP time as well as drawing the route on a map.
NOTE: It is only the iBeacon from the Mileage Book that works with the Mileage Book app

2. Manual start-stop registration:
Manual registration is working in that way that you simply open the Mileage Book app and press START, at the beginning of a business trip and STOP when you arrive at the destination.
Mileage Book then takes care of the rest, and puts addresses in the FROM and TO boxes, and notes the START and STOP time as well as it draws the route on a map.
Then simply enter a purpose for the trip and press SAVE.
3. Manually entered trips:
You simply just enter FROM and TO addresses and Mileage Book calculates the distance between the two addresses, after which you simply need to enter the date, times and purpose then press SAVE.
