First of all, welcome to the Mileage Book!
When you start using Mileage Book, there are a few tasks and just a few things that the you need to be aware of.
1. First of all, it is important that the phones settings are correct so that Mileage Book always has the ability to register trips correctly - There are some settings on respectively iPhone and Android phones which are important to keep track of.
You can read more about these here:
iPhone - Important iPhone settings
Android - Important Android settings
2. When you, as a employee, have registered your trips and have to send this for approval to your approver, it is important that you have entered a license plate in the Mileage Book system - otherwise you won't be allowed to send your mileage log for approval.
This can be done both in the app and when logged into our website.
App:
In the app you simply select More - Settings - Cars - Press "My car" - Enter car name + reg. no.
On website:
On the website you simply select User setup - Cars - Press the pencil to the right of "My car" - Here you enter car name + reg. no.
After you have entered car name + reg. you are now ready to send your mileage log for approval.
3. The home address is important for Mileage Book to know if Mileage Book needs to keep track of the 60 day rule or distance deduction - An employee's home address is usually something that has already been entered by the administrator, but it is a good idea to check that is correctly specified.
You check your home address by following the steps below:
App:
In the app you simply select More - Settings - User
On website:
On the website you simply select User setup - User profile
If you move address, it is important to notify your administrator/approver, otherwise the 60 day rule or distance deduction may be incorrectly calculated.
