Battery settings - Huawei

Do you find that Mileage Book stops registering your distance, in the middle of a trip, or registering an incorrect distance? This may occur if your Android device is in power-saving mode, which could result in the GPS signal being blocked.

This can be managed in your Huawei power management so that you manually specify which apps your device shouldn't put in a power-saving mode. 

(Note: This guide is designed from Android version 8.0.0 and above)

1. Open Settings on your Huawei device

2. Select Battery 

3. Select App launch

4. Find Mileage Book in the app list

5. Remove the "tick" in Manage Automatically 

6. Make sure that “Auto launch”, “Secondary launch” and “Run In background” is activated

7. Press OK 

You have now given the Mileage Book app permission to always have access to the GPS and the location of the phone.
