At Mileage Book, we find from time to time that some vehicles prove more difficult than others to work with. We have therefore tried to help outline some of these vehicles so that you, as the owner of a vehicle, are aware of the possible challenges that may arise if a tracker is installed in your car.
In general for all vehicles, if you have problems with your tracker, you must call Mileage Book Support on +45 70 25 11 00 and state what type of car you have along with details about your challenges. Mileage Book can then help change your tracker's configuration so that it matches your type of car.
Hybrid
If you have a hybrid car, installing an OBD tracker will most likely not be a problem for you and for most users there will typically be no challenges, but unfortunately some vehicle models prove to be challenging. If you have problems with your OBD tracker in your hybrid car, you should therefore contact Mileage Book support for assistance.
Tesla
Different Tesla models and specific years vary greatly in where their OBD connector is located, and it is therefore always best to examine the car's documentation or ask your mechanic if you are in doubt about where the car's OBD connector is located. For some, the plug is located behind the center console by the rear seat. If you have a Tesla Y model, there may be special challenges. Therefore, contact Mileage Book support for assistance.
Chinese cars
For Chinese cars Xpeng, SAIC, JAC, BYD etc., we have unfortunately experienced that the OBD 2 connector does not always allow anything other than diagnosing the car and therefore does not allow for data export. If you have a Chinese car, you should contact Mileage Book and request a battery tracker instead.
Volvo XE30 SUV
This car has proven challenging with OBD trackers, we therefore recommend installing a battery tracker instead.
