This summer, in our article Sorry for the mess while we rebuild, we told you we were modernising Mileage Book from the ground up. We've now reached the final stage of the roadworks.
When?
Sunday 4 October from 8:00 PM (CEST). We don't know exactly when the work will finish. We chose Sunday evening because that's when the fewest people use the platform.
What's changing?
- One address: The entire web platform is moving to app.mileagebook.com.
- app2.mileagebook.com is closing: There will be no automatic redirect, so links and bookmarks to app2 will stop working after the release.
- One design: The mix of the classic dark blue and the new light blue design is going away. The whole platform will use the new design.
What does this mean for you during the service window?
- Large parts of the web platform will be unavailable while we work.
- A message on the site will let you know that a service window is in progress.
- All our apps will work as normal, so you can still register your trips.
How to prepare
- Update your bookmarks and shortcuts from app2.mileagebook.com to app.mileagebook.com.
- Check your internal links. If your organisation links to app2 anywhere, for example on your intranet, in user guides or in email signatures, update those links.
- Plan your tasks. Do approvals, reports and other work that needs the web platform before Sunday evening or from Monday morning.
After the release
Our tech team will be working throughout the release. When the switch is done, they'll go through the platform to make sure everything runs as it should. We'll update this article once the platform is stable again.
If you run into any problems after the release, please contact our support team.
Thank you for your patience while we've been rebuilding. 💙
Best regards
The Mileage Book team
