Fleet management - Time schedules

About Schedules

With Mileage Book, you can create schedules that define when vehicles in your fleet are allowed to be used. For example, you can set working hours from 07:00 to 16:00.

The tracker will continue to record all trips, whether they are driven within or outside the defined schedule.

As an administrator, you get a complete overview of vehicle usage on your dashboard, including:

  • The percentage of trips driven during working hours
  • Which vehicles are being used outside the planned schedule
  • Notifications when a vehicle is used outside the configured schedule

This gives you greater control over vehicle usage and helps you identify deviations from company policies.

 

Introduction to Time Schedule settings

You can use schedules to determine when a vehicle is allowed to drive and collect statistics and data on your fleet's driving during and after working hours. 

Navigate to System Setup > Fleet Management > Schedule

  1. To create a Schedule, press the blue 'Create' button.

     

  2. You must give the schedule a name, and then select the times that will apply.

     

  3. You can select specific days or whether the device should record trips 24/7.

     

  4. Finally, you must select which vehicles or fleet groups this schedule should apply to.

     

  5. Finish by pressing Save. The schedule is now created and applies to the selected cars and/or fleet groups.

     

  6. You also have the option to turn off a device. If you create a schedule where no time is defined when the tracker should track GPS locations at all and a vehicle is assigned to this schedule. Then no trips will be recorded until it is either removed from the schedule or the schedule has times on again.

Fleet Equipment

If you have purchased Equipment Management for your fleet and you use temperature measurements for example for your climate boxes, you have the option to define when temperatures should be recorded.
