About Speeding Violations
With Mileage Book, administrators can monitor speeding violations across the fleet. This provides better visibility into driving behaviour and helps identify situations where vehicles exceed the configured speed limit.
Speeding can lead to increased vehicle wear and tear, higher operational costs, and potential safety risks. Monitoring these events can help ensure compliance with company policies and promote responsible vehicle use.
You can view registered speeding violations under:
Fleet Vehicles > Dashboard
Here, you can access an overview of all recorded incidents and identify vehicles that may require further attention.
Setting Up a Speeding Rule
You can define a maximum allowed speed for vehicles in your fleet.
- Navigate to System Setup > Fleet Management > Settings > Dashboard.
- Scroll down to the Dashboard section.
- Enter the maximum speed that vehicles are allowed to drive during normal operation.
When the configured speed limit is exceeded, the event is automatically registered as a rule violation.
Note: If no maximum speed limit is defined and the value is set to 0, no notifications will be generated for speeding violations.
When the limit is defined you can then see:
- Which vehicle exceeded the speed limit
- By how much the speed limit was exceeded
- When the incident occurred
- Which driver was assigned to the vehicle (if available)
Speeding violations are displayed in both the Management Center and the Rule Violations overview, giving you a complete overview of registered incidents.
