About Violations
In Mileage Book, you as an administrator have the option to define certain parameters for speed, geographical zones, and time intervals for your company/organisation. This can help provide an overview of whether vehicles are being used correctly. Any improper use of a vehicle leads to increased wear and tear and may result in potentially unlawful behaviour in a company context, which is undesired. Violations can be viewed under Fleet Vehicles > Dashboard.

Setting up Geographical Zone Rules
Setting up a Speed Rule
Navigate to System Setup > Fleet Management > Settings > Dashboard
Scroll down the settings page to find the Dashboard section and specify your desired speed limitation settings. The maximum speed you define here represents the highest permitted threshold your fleet vehicles should follow during standard use.
If this limit is exceeded, a notification will be triggered in the management centre indicating that the specific vehicle has been speeding, including how much the limit was exceeded, when it occurred, and potentially by whom.
The trip will also appear on the violation overview page.
Setting up Geographical Zone Rules
Navigate to System Setup > Fleet Management > (Monitoring) Zones
Define your zone as desired and fill out all the fields in the right-hand side panel. Then draw your zone or use a radius from a specific location to define it.
In the example below, you can see how this is done by simply clicking on a starting location and then moving the mouse (without clicking) around Jutland until the shape is drawn, after which you can finish by clicking.
The shape can then be adjusted by clicking and dragging its edges. By zooming in, you can position the boundary very precisely.
Setting up Schedule Rules
Set up schedules for when vehicles are allowed to be in use. This can be useful for identifying whether the wrong vehicles are being used during weekends or evening shifts when they should not be in use.
Navigate to System Setup > Fleet Management > Schedules
Create your schedules as needed. In the example below, schedules have been set up for all weekdays from 8–16, weekends from 8–16, and evening shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
Create your own schedules by clicking the "Create" button.

You can also choose to assign specific vehicles, fleet groups, or equipment to the relevant schedule. Simply select them either when creating the schedule or by clicking the pencil icon to edit it later. Finish by clicking "Save."
