Do you experience that Mileage Book stops recording your trip in the middle of nowhere, or register an incorrect distance? This may be caused be some power saving features in your Samsung device, witch can result in access to the GPS is being blocked.
(Note: this guide is based on Android version 8.0.0 and up, but solutions may still vary depending on the brand, model and year. Always refer to the user manual if in doubt about how to change your phone's settings).
Location
- Go to settings on your phone
- Select Location
- Select App permission
- Find the Mileage Book app
- Ensure that the Mileage Book app always have access to your phone's location
Location accuracy
- Select Settings
- Select Connections
- Select Location
- Pick Locating method
- Set this to ”high accuracy”
Power saving
- Go to Settings,
- Select Device maintenance
- Select Battery
- Turn the power saving mode ”OFF”
Battery optimization
- Go to Settings on your phone
- Select Battery optimization
- Find the Mileage Book app
- Select "Do not optimize"
Update your Mileage Book app
- Mileage Book regularly publishes updates to the Kørebogen. These updates may be some features and bug fixes in the app. It is therefore important to ensure that you keep your app up to date. If necessary, see Automatic update of apps
Update your phone
- If you have been putting off a system update for your Android device for a long time, there is a chance that this may affect your GPS. Each update brings a number of fixes for bugs and possible problems. You should therefore keep your mobile up to date so that your phone has the latest version of Android. To check for updates, follow these steps:

- Scroll down until you find About phone
- Select Check for updates
