Get started with Billy

If you have a PLUS or a Complete subscription with Billy, you can set up a connection between Mileage Book and Billy. Click here to see Billy's subscription overview.

In short, you simply create an access key in Billy which you copy into the Mileage Book. This guide shows you how to easily and quickly set up your connection.

1. Creation of API access key in Billy

1. Log in to Billy
2. Tap Settings at the bottom left.
3. Tap Access Keys
4. Press Create Access Key and call the key Mileage Book. If necessary, give it one too
   description. Finish with Save.
5. You will now be able to see your access key and copy it to the clipboard.
6. Copy this as you will need it on the Mileage Books website.

2. Setup in Mileage Book

1. Log in to Mileage Book.
2. Select System Setup.
3. Select Integration.
4. Select ''Billy'' as the system.
5. Then insert the date from which the travel allowance is to be posted.
6. Insert your Billy API key.
   
   
   
   
7. Press Get Accounts to now have Mileage Book load your Billy account
8. Select the account ''driving allowance'' under Driving allowance account. It is this account that is debited in the cash journal.
9. Under bank account, you must select the account that is credited if you want to post payment immediately, for example ''Bank''. (*see additional information)
10. Under equity account, you must select the account that is credited if you want to post for later payment, for example ''Interim account to owner''.
11. Your Billy integration is now set up and you can now send Mileage logs to Billy from Mileage Book. Do you want the integration to be able to transfer trips from behind in time? Simply change the date for when the integration should start from.

Sole proprietorships cannot pay driving allowances to themselves, but instead receive driving deductions. These companies therefore do not have the option of setting up a Bank account for Bank, but instead they must set the Bank account account to the same as the Equity account.
