About Routes and Route Groups in Mileage Book
With a fleet setup through Mileage Book, it is possible to keep an overview of all routes you have defined internally, as well as which vehicles are associated with which routes.
Routes and route groups can be found under System setup > Fleet management > Routes, if enabled on the account. If you do not have it enabled, contact Mileage Book Support.
Create Routes and Route Groups
- Create the desired groups into which you would like to divide the routes. In the example below, groups have been created based on geographical areas in Denmark.
- Then create Routes by their name/number and add optional route description. Here it is completely open to what the route name/number should be. You can define it as you like.
- Finally assign a vehicle to the active route. In the example below, a vehicle was previously associated with a given period. If the "assigned to" date is not filled in, the vehicle will still be assigned to the route. Vehicles can only be assigned to active routes and route groups.
Nice to know
- Several vehicles can be connected to 1 one route at the same time (e.g. 2 buses on one route). But 1 vehicle cannot be on two routes at the same time.
- You can see which route is selected on a vehicle under Fleet vehicles > Vehicles > Master data, left column.
- On the vehicle's master data, it is possible to see a complete log of which routes the vehicle has been associated with and when it has been assigned to a route.
- Route and route groups is a feature that can be added by contacting Mileage Book support at support@mileagebook.com or on +45 70 25 11 00.
