Installing trackers
If you have a large fleet where trackers need to be installed in many vehicles, Mileage Book offers an installation service as an add-on. Together with you, we will plan the installation of the devices in your vehicles and make sure you get off to a good start.
If you do not want us to do it for you, you can also install the devices in your vehicles yourself. For this, we have developed an app that helps you with the installation.
How to install a tracker with the Fleet Installer app
1. Download the Fleet Installer app from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Log in with your email and the password you use for Mileage Book.
3. Select the account you have access to.
4. You will see a list of all your vehicles.
5. Search for the vehicle in the field.
6. Tap the vehicle and then tap Device.
7. All the GPS trackers you have assigned are now shown. Find the IMEI number of the device you want to install.
8. You can (usually) just type the last 4 digits of the IMEI number. When the right number appears, tap it.
9. The app then asks whether you want to connect the device and the vehicle. Tap OK.
10. You can now see that the device is on the vehicle.
11. Finally, tap Mileage and enter the odometer reading. When you are done, tap the blue arrow to move on to the next vehicle.
