What is the Action center?
The Action center collects the messages about your fleet that require you to do something. For example, a GPS tracker that is not sending data, a tracker that has been removed, or a vehicle deregistered in the Motor Register with a tracker still installed.
1. Select Fleet vehicles in the menu on the left.
2. Click Action center.
Choose which messages you want
You choose which message types are shown in the Action center under System setup > Fleet management > Notifications. Switch on the message types you want to receive.
Filters and columns
At the top you can filter by period (From date and To date), department, vehicle and asset. In the columns you can also filter by message type and Has been handled. By default, only messages that have not been handled are shown. To see all messages, open the filter in the Has been handled column and click Clear.
The list shows when the message was created, the message, message type, whether it has been handled, date, who handled it, resolution message and action.
Excel export
Click Excel to download the messages in the list with your current filters, for example all handled messages in a period. The file contains these columns:
- Creation date
- Message
- Message type
- Has been handled
- Handling date
- Handled by
- Resolution message
How to handle a message
1. First do what the message is about, for example remove a tracker from a deregistered vehicle.
2. Tick the message, or use the button under Action.
3. Click Handle, and add a resolution message if needed.
Mileage Book saves the date, who handled the message and the resolution message. Some messages are resolved automatically by the system.
Important: If you mark a message as handled before the problem is solved, the system sets it back to not handled. For example, if a tracking device is active without being linked to a vehicle, the device must first be linked or removed.
