How to find the tracking devices
Under Tracking devices you manage your GPS trackers and other devices that record trips and monitor vehicles and assets. Here you can, for example, associate a new device with a vehicle, an employee or an asset.
Go to System setup > Tracking devices. Only administrators can edit the setup of tracking devices. See Fleet - User permissions.
The overview
Use the In use filter and the grey filters above the list to find specific devices, for example by device number, model, vehicle, employee or asset. You can also filter with the funnel icons in the column headers. Click Excel to download the list.
- Device number: The device's unique id (IMEI or MAC ID). Look at the last four digits to quickly recognize the device.
- Model: The device model, for example a GPS tracker or a beacon.
- Associated vehicle / employee / asset: What the device is associated with.
- Status: Whether the device is active and in use.
- Device settings: Whether the device is displayed on the map, whether a trip's route can be seen, how trips are recorded, and whether privacy mode is enabled.
- Get notified in the action center if: For example if the device is disconnected.
- Disconnected: Whether the device is removed from the vehicle.
- Recent signal: When the device last sent data to Mileage Book.
- Battery voltage: The voltage of the vehicle's battery (external) or the device's own battery (internal).
The pin icon shows where the device is now. The pencil edits the device, and the clock shows the device's activity log.
