In Mileage Book there are three types of places that you can create and manage:
1. A Place:
A work-related location that you frequently visit, such as a customer, supplier, workshop, inspection center, or head office. A place can be created individually by the user, but if you are using a company solution, the company can also create and manage company locations that apply to all employees.
2. Temporary Home
A place where you temporarily stay, for example a campsite during a long-term construction project or a temporary work assignment away from your home.
3. Home
Your residential address, which is used as the starting and ending point for trips.
Benefits of creating places:
• The logbook automatically recognizes when you are at or near a registered place
• Ensures correct counting in relation to the 60-day rule for workplace visits
• Places can be used offline and are available without an internet connection

Create places via the Mileage app
You have now created a new location that the log book can now use according to the 60 day count. You can always come back and deactivate or delete a location.
Note: In the old Mileage Book logbook app, the home address cannot be edited. |

Create via the New Mileage Book App (Time / Business app)Open the app. Go to More → Settings → Places → Blue + → Type: Home. Give the place a name and enter the address. Specify the radius. Add move-in and move-out dates, if relevant. Choose whether the place should be marked as a favorite so it always appears at the top of the list. Tap the back arrow (<) to return — the place is saved automatically. |

Creation and management of other places
You can create work-related places or temporary homes under Places in the app or on the web.
Administrators can always deactivate or delete a place.
Places are automatically used by the logbook in Mileage Book for trip registration and the 60-day rule calculation.
With correct setup, all trips will be registered with the correct start and end locations.
