What is state of charge (SoC)?
State of charge shows how charged the high-voltage battery in an electric or hybrid car is. It is shown as a percentage from 0 to 100 and is read by the GPS tracker installed in the car. The tracker also sends the estimated remaining range.
Requirements for showing state of charge
- The car's brand, model and year support reading the state of charge.
- The GPS tracker is a supported model: FMM130, FMM150, FMM003, FMM230 or FMM001.
- The GPS tracker is set up with the correct configuration in Mileage Book.
Contact Mileage Book support if you are not sure whether your trackers and cars support state of charge.
Where can I see the state of charge?
- On the Map page, when Map view is set to Current location.
- In the Fleet app up to 30 minutes before a booking starts, if you use booking.
State of charge is shown with icons:
- Battery: the current battery level.
- Lightning: the car was charging when the reading was registered.
