This article applies to the Kørebog app. In the Mileage Book Business app, the settings only contain vehicles and places. See Vehicles and places in the app.
You find the settings under "More" and "Settings". The settings for mileage are on the "Mileage" tab.
At the top, you choose whether distances are shown in kilometres or miles. "Miles" are US miles (1 mile = approx. 1.6 km), not Swedish mil.
Under "My vehicles" and "Places", you manage your cars and places. Read more in Vehicles and places in the app.
Purpose
You can choose whether the purpose of the trip is written as free text on each trip, or whether you want to choose it from a list you have made yourself.
- Turn on "Choose the purpose of the trip from a list".
- Tap "List with purpose".
- Tap "Create" to add a purpose, or tap a purpose to edit it.
If the setting is turned off, you write the purpose as free text when you register a trip.
Trip types
Trip types categorise your trips, for example as business or private trips. By default, you have the trip types "Erhverv" (business) and "Privat" (private), and they cannot be edited. If you turn off "Use trip type", all trips are treated as business trips.
If you want more trip types, you must first turn this on when you are logged in to Mileage Book in your browser. Go to "Systemopsætning" (system setup), "Systemparametre" (system parameters) and "Turtyper" (trip types). You can then create more trip types under "List with trip types" in the app.
Compensation
When "Compensation" is turned on, the app calculates your mileage allowance based on your rates. You find the rates under "Rates and periods".
If you use the standard rates, Mileage Book automatically adds the new rates from the Danish Tax Agency at the end of the year.
Rates
Under "Rates", you choose whether the kilometre intervals are counted per year, per day or per trip. To follow the state rates, choose "Year".
- Tap a period to see or edit the rate, or tap "Create" to create a new one.
- Choose the start and end date and the trip type the rate applies to.
- Enter the kilometre intervals and the amount per km for each interval.
- Tap "Save".
Additional rates
Under "Additional rates", you can add rates you receive on top of the ordinary allowance, either per km or per trip. This could for example be DKK 0.80 per km for a toolbox in the car or a supplement per km for driving with a trailer.
Odometer, time and decimals
- Use odometer: The app asks for the car's odometer reading when you start and stop a trip.
- Show start and stop time: The start and stop time of the trip are shown.
- Show one decimal place for the distance: The distance is shown with one decimal.
The settings apply in the app, on the web and in your reports.
