Mileage Book offers a feature that allows administrators to act on behalf of selected employees. This makes it possible to view Mileage Book exactly as the employee experiences it, which is especially useful when setting up custom roles, permissions, and access control.
Common use cases
The feature is particularly helpful for:
Configuring custom user roles
Testing permissions and access control
Troubleshooting issues from an employee’s perspective
Quality assurance of workflows and system configurations
Requirements for activation
The feature must first be approved by the contract owner.
Once approval is in place, Mileage Book can activate the feature on the account.
After activation, administrators can configure which employees they are allowed to act on behalf of.

How an administrator switches to a specific employee
Once the feature is active and you have logged in again:
Your name in the top-right corner will now be highlighted with a frame
Click your name
Select the employee you want to act on behalf of
Mileage Book will then change the interface so you only see what the selected employee has access to.
