In Mileage Book, there are two predefined trip types by default: Business and Private.
If your organization needs to modify these or add additional trip types, you can contact Mileage Book. Once the module is activated, you will have access to view, edit, and create your own trip types.
What is a trip type
A trip type is directly linked to the reimbursement rates for the mileage recorded on the account. This means that each trip type determines which rates apply to the trips registered under it.
How to access custom trip types
When the module needs to be activated on the account, it is helpful for support to know which trip types you want to create. Once the module is unlocked, an administrator can always toggle enable or disable the trip types they want to use.
