Take Full Control of Your Fleet with Mileage Book’s Action Center
In Mileage Book, we bring all your essential fleet information together in one place – your personal Action Center. Here, you get an overview of updates, changes, and notifications that are relevant to your role. You can choose which messages you want to receive, so you’re never overwhelmed by irrelevant information. Everything is centralized and organized, allowing you to quickly act on what needs your attention – whether it’s an upcoming inspection, a GPS tracker that stops sending data, or a vehicle that has been deregistered while still having an active tracker. Mileage Book helps you stay on top of your fleet, reduce errors, and save time.
How to setup Action Center notifications
To receive notifications in the Action Center, you first need to configure your settings. You must be an administrator or fleet administrator to adjust notifications.
Navigate to: System Setup > Fleet Management > Settings/Notifications
At the bottom of the page, you’ll find the Action Center settings.
Choose which types of messages you want to receive and turn them on with "Yes".
Once activated, the system automatically sends relevant notifications to the Action Center. For example, if a GPS tracker is removed from a vehicle, you’ll immediately receive a message about it.
What Your Action Center Looks Like
After setting up your notifications, the Action Center displays all relevant messages in one place:
Sort by department, vehicle, handled status, or message type.
Some notifications are automatically resolved by the system.
Others appear as "ready for action," which you can view and handle manually.
Once a message is handled, the system logs the handling date, name of the person who handled it, and any solution note.
How to Use the Action Center Effectively
To ensure messages are handled correctly:
First, perform the necessary action in the system based on the notification.
Then mark the message as resolved in the Action Center.
⚠️ If you mark a message as resolved before taking action, the system will revert its status to "not handled." For example: if a unit is active without a vehicle assigned, you must remove the unit first before marking the message as resolved.
Following this order ensures Mileage Book always provides an accurate view of your fleet’s status while reducing errors and unnecessary alerts.
