As the first point under System Setup > Fleet Management > Settings. Here you will find general settings for fleet management. Here it is a good idea for you as an admin to make sure that the standards that have been set are what should be for your fleet.
In this guide we will try to uncover all the settings you find on this page in your account. Some settings will only appear if it is a feature that has been purchased.
Section 1
Mileage logs for pool cars: If you want a mileage log to be automatically created at a fixed interval, you can set the settings for how often this should happen here.
Fleet identification: Define how all vehicles and equipment should be named with first name and last name.
Default department: If you want vehicles/equipment to be associated with a specific department by default when they are created, you can define which department it should be here.
Section 2
Viewing future tasks: Choose how far in advance your maintenance tasks should be visible in Mileage Book.
Dashboard: Set up rules for your fleet regarding leasing and upper speed limits.
Section 3
Settings for action center: Set here which messages you want to appear in your action center in Mileage Book. Some of the messages will also be sent as an email and some cannot be deselected as it is of course not optimal if a unit is lost while it is mounted in a sold car.
You also have the option to define an internal and external battery voltage threshold. This can alert you when a car is about to be discharged and therefore no longer supplies enough power to the tracker. Or when the tracker's own internal small battery no longer has enough battery to function optimally.
We recommend that you take the time to look through the settings and see if there are any that you would like to use for your fleet. By default, everything is set to no and therefore does not notify you of anything.
Section 4
Green Dashboard Settings
Here you can set the limits for your Driving Pattern. If a limit is breached, the system will generate a CO2 point. Below you can choose how many CO2 points vehicles must have, over the last 30 days, to be seen as green, yellow or red respectively.
