In this article, you will learn how to create custom fields and how to enable them.
In user-defined fields, you can create fields that you may be missing or simply want to expand further in your Mileage Book setup. Custom fields can be set up to appear and be used in different places on the account.
You will find them under "System setup" > "Fleet management" > either:
"Field usage".
"Create your own fields"

Create your own fields (Custom)
In this example, a simple field called 'Number of seats' has been created.
Here, it has been chosen that the field relates to vehicles, and that this field must be displayed at the bottom of the Master Data. The field is called "Number of seats" and it must be filled in with number-symbols from employees, not letter-symbols.
Explanation.
You can thus quickly create an entire unified field group that e.g. is called Seats. Within that field group, you can then create several subfields grouped together. So, you could have a field created inside the group called "Number of seats" and another called "seat material", "seat color", "seat location", "seat size" etc. When you have created all the fields you want for your group of fields, simply press save and the field group and all its subfields are ready for use.
It could look like this:
Field Usage
To use a field, we move to the 'Field usage' function. You will find it in the menu:
"System Setup" > "Fleet Management" > "Field Usage".
- Here you press the green 'Add' button.
- Select "Own fields" and the field you have created - e.g. "Number of Seats".
- You can choose whether you also want the field to be displayed in History and/or whether you want to be able to filter on it. It is not required.
- Finish by pressing 'Save' at the bottom.
The custom field can now be found in 'Fleet Vehicles' --> 'Vehicles' --> At the bottom of Master Data. If one day you want to remove the field again, simply deactivate it under the "create own fields" function.
